I just Love this video

This to me is a master piece from Alicia Keys. check out the lyrics, the music progression and the video quality. simply da bomb!

The Concept of Time and Season

Talk about time and seasons; we get to wonder why there seems to be some measure of disparity within the society.

Could it be that God is somewhat partial? Do you really think He is? For me, I don’t think so. God has in his own special way has given us all it takes to succeed in life. He has given us the power of creativity, innovation, setting an agenda; the path to decide to succeed or fail.

t all boils down to the concept of time and seasons. Have you wondered why there a was a world wide recession; it’s a lesson to all to know that certain things are not constants; there are the high and low seasons of life, economy, politics, health, faith, relationships, recreations etc.

A millionaire has his season of lows were he would say “boy am broke” and he is really broke.

You have your low seasons, and will get into a season of plenty…it all takes your ability to wait.; wait and wait, your season of plenty is coming.

That perfect boyfriend and girl friend is coming your way…you will get married.

The job is coming, that business break through is coming.

It’s all about understanding and keying into the concept of time and seasons...

Something positive is sure going to happen and is happening already!....@omedekina

Is This Love or What?

Is This Love or What?

A soldier was sentenced to death by Oliver Cromwell for a terrible crime. He was to be executed by a firing squad as the curfew bell struck midnight.
All preparations were made, and as the time approached guns were loaded and readies. But the clock never struck. After a few minutes Cromwell sent some soldiers to investigate. They found that a young lady, the sweetheart of the man to be executed, had strapped herself to the clapper ofthe huge clock – so when it struck the side of the bell her body took the impact but made no sound. Both her legs were broken, one arm was badly damaged, several ribs were cracked. Cromwell was so moved by her remarkable sacrifice that he ordered her sweetheart to be freed. “Your love has saved him. No curfew bell will sound tonight.”
This story portrays love in one of it’s purest forms.
The ultimate proof of love is not sex, money or fun. It is sacrifice.
Pure love is demonstrated through sacrifice. It’s about what we are willing to give; what we are willing to let go of; what we are willing to do without just to ensure that someone else becomes better.
A lot of people think about love in terms of a romantic relationship. They think about love only on valentine’s day. It ought not to be so. Love is the essence of life. To love is to live. God is LOVE and God is the giver of life so LOVE  gives life. Love is LIFE.
We are called human beings but we really ought to be Love Beings.
As we remember the ultimate demonstration of God’s love for us in this season, take out time to reflect. Ponder on God’s love for you.
God became a man so that men can become like God.
Mel Gibson’s blockbuster movie, the Passions of The Christ is depicts the greatest story of  God’s love for us but you can be sure that the sufferings of Jesus for our sake were a lot more gruesome that what we see in that movie.
Jesus was brutalized that we may be revitalized.
Jesus died so that we may live.
Jesus bled so that we may be fed.
Jesus’  body was broken so that our bodies, souls and spirits may be whole.
We have to appreciate the fact that it wasn’t the nails that kept Jesus hanging on the cross. It was his passionate love for us.
No matter how you spend this holiday, remember to meditate on GOD’s unconditional love for you and find a way to spread the love.
Make a fresh commitment to love God with all your heart, mind and strength.
Make a fresh commitment to love your neighbor as yourself.
An easy way to do that is to ask yourself this question before you do anything: “Is this love or what?”

Just thinking;

Talking about winners and losers; the Nigerian elections have come and gone proving skeptics who never believed in the good of the country wrong. So wrong that those unbelievers in the progress of Nigeria took up arms in protest wrecking untold havoc on the polity especially innocent NYSC members serving their father land.

And they said of him, can anything good come out of Nazareth? And many did say of Jonathan; can anything come out of him, being that he hails from a minority group in Nigeria, a man believed to be politically naïve etc... The man won… he is a man who has given every Nigerian a reason to believe like Obama “if he can make it. You can make it.

Osama, sniffed out of the face of the earth by the special force called the SEALS. Gbagbo, bundled out of office like a chicken, the almighty General Buhari of the CPC silenced by a so called naïve politician.

What lessons can we draw from all these?

Very simple; God’s ways are not our ways, neither are his thoughts our thoughts. Your steps are ordered by God, and you can achieve all that God has destined you to achieve.

This was not meant to be a sermon, well, in sports, The blues (Chelsea) had an initial poor outing,(written off from the title race); their fighting spirit beats my imagination, coming from a dismal outing way back bouncing to second position giving my dear Man U team a reason to sleep with both eyes open.

In life, there are four sides to a coin, you win or lose, chose to give up or push up and move on not giving up.

What do you think?

Thats Just the Way it is...contd'

In my last post, i talked about the ironies of the world system and asked; is that just the way it is?

well, going by the wind of change and revolution going on all across the middle east; one would wonder if this day was ever going to come. surprisingly, from a rather dangerous and complicated move of one man setting himself ablaze in Tunisia, the whole of the middle east is experiencing a new wave of change.

The seat tight Mubarak is out, the Tunisian leader...out. the worst of all, Ghadaffi has defied human rights laws by abusing and killing at will. it is rather unfortunate that he will also go the way of those before him.

Holding on to power as if it were the birthright of a few is now being confounded by the will of the "People" . the People are being used of God to prove that all power belongs to God; and it i God who decides who remains in power per time.

we wait with much expectation, as we look forward to the redemption of the Libyan people, we look forward to a peaceful election in Nigeria and pray that the ill in ivory cost is resolved soon.

I pray that the winds of change blowing across the middle east would sweep across the continent of Africa bringing justice and liberation to the oppressed.

It is time the People take their rightful place and cry freedom!

That's Just The Way It Is...

Growing up has been quite an eventful experience for me.I have grown through different administrative and political terrains. I have been privileged to attend various denominations ranging form the Evangelical, to the Pentecostal, the charismatic and also interacted with those who do not believe there is a God.

The political landscape in my country Nigeria has also been one i would rather describe as adventurous. Military dictatorships, democracy and various governments and leaders that attempted to impose themselves as life presidents but their dreams were all aborted.

In my primary and secondary school days, Nigeria was termed as the giant of Africa....today...the story is different.

what is the meaning of life; in the midst of all these transitions; why do we experience boom and suddenly experience a depreciation...why do we celebrate God's faithfulness and at some point retire to a lukewarm lifestyle were God no longer takes center stage.

Economic policies change by the day...Bush comes with a conservative style beacuse he's Republican, Obama with much rhetoric comes with a liberal style because he is a Democrat at the end, Economic policies and leadership styles are not different. the Americans go on complaining and end up erring their grievances in mid term elections.

In Nigeria, power births an inordinate taste and hunger for quick wealth, corruption becomes the norm...the church turns into a ground for thanksgiving...

If I may ask, what is the role of the church in all these.

I wonder and ponder on these issues and i ask myself why?

could it be that's just the way the world system works? is that just the way it is?

you comments are welcome...
